Susan Bookman is a distinguished shamanic & spiritual healer, ceremony leader, conscious & creative breath specialist, and teacher of mental alchemy. She is also a writer and artist and has lived in the Sacred Valley of Peru since 2005.
Susan embarked on her own healing journey in 1982 when she began experiencing intense and recurring sleep paralysis. This continued for over ten years and culminated in a series of powerful involuntary kundalini awakenings. During the months and years that followed, Susan’s empathic, intuitive, and healing abilities became increasingly apparent. Today, her sessions and teachings serve others on their personal paths to healing and transformation.
In addition to her varied training in plant medicine, psychedelics, breathwork, vibrational medicine, and transpersonal ritual (see “relevant trainings” below), Susan also holds a Master of Arts in International Communications and Development from the School of International Service at American University in Washington, DC.
She has significant experience in sustainable development, particularly in island economies and environments. Beyond her twenty years in Peru, she has lived, studied, and worked in Europe, Asia, Africa, and other parts of South America. She speaks Spanish fluently, French competently, and Quechua recreationally.
Susan has developed a body of teachings and techniques that fall under the purview of “Technologies of Mind, Heart, Body & Breath”. In essence, it is a path of authenticity and self-mastery to awaken one’s capacity to embody and radiate love, light and truth in one’s own life and in this world. It is also the work of converting challenging experiences into personal power.
She provides customized sessions and retreats, online and in person, to individuals or small groups seeking healing, transformation, crisis support, and self-exploration, as well as knowledge and training in a wide range of areas.
